Why is writing harder than talking?

In person, things usually go well: you show, you ask, you understand each other. But running your own business happens largely in writing — a new enquiry through your website, a rescheduled appointment, a question about price. And in writing, every word counts: if you do not reply to an enquiry at all, reply too late, or reply in a way that is hard to understand, you lose the job to someone who writes faster and clearer. That has nothing to do with how good your work is — only with how confident you feel in German.

How does the chat with automatic translation work?

In bop you chat with your clients just like in a normal chat — except bop translates automatically in between:

  1. The enquiry arrives in German

A client writes to you — for example through your own website. bop shows you the message in your language.
  2. You reply in your language

Turkish, Ukrainian, Romanian — it does not matter. You write the way you think and express yourself best.
  3. Your client reads professional German

bop translates your reply automatically — polite, clear, and with correct appointments, prices and addresses. And the next reply comes back to you translated too.

The translation is done by AI that does not translate word for word, but understands the context. "I can come Thursday 14" becomes a message that sounds like a professional: "Sure — I can come on Thursday at 2:00 PM."

Not just clients

bop also helps you with language when it comes to letters from official bodies: photograph the letter, and bop explains in your language what it means and what to do. So no important letter gets ignored just because it is written in dense official German.

What does this do for your business?

For many people, language is the real reason they stay on a booking platform instead of building up their own clients — the platform takes care of the writing, but keeps a commission and the client relationship in return. With bop, that reason disappears: enquiries come straight to you through your own website, you reply in your language, and your clients stay your clients. Combined with appointments, invoices and tax reserves in one app, you have the complete office in your pocket — in your language.

Who is this for?

For everyone who does great work but does not (yet) feel confident writing in German — in cleaning, gardening, care work, trades or elsewhere. If you are just starting to think about becoming self-employed: bop guides you from registering your trade onward — and from your very first client enquiry, bop translates for you. Sign up on the homepage — no obligation — and be there when we launch in Austria.
